How to teach your dog to sit without pushing them

Treat at the nose. Move the treat up and slightly back. Their bottom drops on its own as they follow with their nose.

Mark and reward. Bottom hits the floor → “yes!” → treat. 5 short repetitions are enough per session.

Add the word later. Once sitting comes easily, say “sit” one second before the motion.
